We Made it to WV

Hello Everyone,

WE MADE IT!!!! Stewart and I are now in Lewisburg, West Virginia. We are semi moved into our apartment, and are getting adjusted to the WV ways of life. I am at the Library right now so I don’t have a ton of time to update you on everything that has been happening here with us but I will tell you we are fine. We miss everyone lots and lots!

We left last Monday (July 20th) talk about drama getting out the door. We took a rental truck back with the plan to tow our car all four wheels off the ground. I called and scheduled everything three months prior to July 20th… we when we got there to pick up our truck at 8:00am there was a truck and now car trailer for us. I guess someone dropped the ball… and it was not them and it was not the corporate office… so whose fault it is, I don’t know. After talking with them, arguing with them and debating what to do we ended up taking a car dolly which left two of our car tires on the pavement. I was not excited about this plan as I could see our back tires blowing out on us… but it all worked out just fine. We got the truck loaded in 30 to 40 mins (thanks to the many wonderful friends and Family that helped us load the truck!!!) and if we would have had the car dolly as scheduled we would have been on the road by 9:30/10:00am. We did however leave Idaho at 11:10 am… not to bad considering the drama of the morning.

We arrived on Thursday around 2:00pm (Eastern Time). We had help from the church members here in Lewisburg un-loading the truck again it only took 40 mins. I guess we packed light. Our apartment is nice… it does have some funny quirks about it. On the positive side we have lost of closet space and the rooms are nice and big. The whole house is hard wood floors; accept the kitchen which is linoleum. We have a window in our shower, that would allow us to see out and others to see in if it were not for the shutters on the inside. Weird… I know! We were also told that there was a fireplace (electric) in our apartment… well what is suppose to be a fireplace is just a fireplace mantle with wallpaper covering the hole where the fireplace is suppose to go. Oh the surprises we get when you don’t see the apartment before you rent it online. All in all… it all is working out. We hope to have internet soon and to be moved in completely, as well.

Stewart starts school on Monday, Aug 3rd. He has met some of his fellow classmates and other 2nd year students. He is getting excited. I have not started looking for a job, I am waiting to get things organized and for me to get the feel of the area. I have a lot of competition here, but I am not worried and will do my best not to get discouraged when I start looking.

Two Min Update... It is Moving Time!

Well here is the two min update about what has been going on in our lives since the last time I posted on the blog. Mostly Stewart and I have been doing a ton of stuff with the families. We have been to two reunions and had several family and friend outings. We also both quit our jobs about a week and a half ago. So as of now we are both unemployed living in the basement of Stewart's Grandparents home. Yep we know… we are professional moochers… it takes SKILL.

Anyway, tomorrow is the BIG day for our move to West Virginia. We can believe that the time has come for us to move. We have all our stuff packed and ready to load it up in our truck tomorrow morning. Who knows if you well get it all in… tomorrow will tell. Actually I bet we are just right with the size of the truck. We have our route all planned out we are probably driving thru 7 different states, going about 65mph the whole way. Yep we have a long drive ahead… wish us luck.

MaRGie’S HOME!

Ok I know that this is news post is a little old to begin with, but I wanted to post something about my sister Margie coming home from her mission in CHILE and about my week vacation that I got to spend with my family.

First off: MARGIE IS HOME!!! Yeah! She flew in to Boise Idaho on June 23, 2009. She got home around 12:20pm. She looks so good and is talking Spanish like we all know what she is saying. In all honesty… I only pretend to know what she is talking about and then I move on with life. Margie has been very fun to be around during this adjustment time... the first thing she did when she got home was get a glass of REAL 100% Cow milk (fresh from the cow and into our fridge) and sit on the carpet to drink it. She has also been going thru the cupboards in our kitchen and saying wow you have crackers, cheese, cold cereal, peanut butter... and much, much more. She gave a wonderful talk about her mission last Sunday, and I have enjoyed learning all about her mission, she had a great time and like most missionaries she wants to go back. Also since Margie was coming home and Stewart and I are moving to WV here in a few weeks I wanted to spend some time with my family home on the farm one last time. So on Monday before Margie came home Stewart dropped me off in Burley where my Mom and Sister Katie picked me up so I could spend the week in Bruneau. During my week at home on the farm I went on walks around the farm, helped around the house because my mom got the flu, and a lot of things I have missed doing since I am always at work (so it seems). I do want to give a shout out to my family and tell them I LOVE YOU!!! Thanks so much for letting me be home with you. I enjoyed being with you all, I had a great time and of course I did not want it to end. I already miss you! Also thanks for all your many sacrifices in Stewarts and my behalf, we will never be able to tell you thanks enough. I LOVE YOUR GUTS!!!

Emily goes to the MTC

On Wednesday June 10th, my youngest sister Emily entered the MTC. I almost did not go, but am soooo glad that I went to wish her luck. It was a bitter sweet day… mainly because it is the beginning of change for me. I don’t really enjoy change all that much, so to see Emily enter the MTC and to know that I will be in West Virginia when she gets home is kind of hard. I am not going to say I did not cry… because I did (just a little).

I am so proud of Emily… she has a great desire to serve a full time mission, and will do great in Nashville Tennessee. She already loves the people and knows this is what she needs to do at this time in her life. She will make a great missionary… she already is. Here are some pictures from are trip to Utah, enjoy:

Two Wonderful Amazing Years!

Today is Stewart and My 2nd wedding anniversary. Honestly I can’t believe that it has been two years it seems like it was just yesterday that we got married. It has been a great two years, Stewart and I have grown up a lot and most important we have grown closer together. When I look back over that past two years, I can see just how far we’ve come, it feels like instead of two different lives we are coming together to make one amazing life for the both of us. How blessed I am to have married such a wonderful man who deeply cares about me. He has taught me so much; I am a better person because of him and I would like to say that he is a better person because of me.

Stewart, I love you! Thanks for not letting go of my hand like you promised, may the next several years find us even more in love. Ti Amo, mio Principe!
